Mzuzu American Corner

Mzuzu University American Corner was officially opened by the ambassador of the United States of American on 24 October 2005. It has about 230 registered non-university members.

The American Corner is open to

  • The general public 
  • Students of Mzuzu Universtiy
  • Mzuzu University Staff
  • Communities around Mzuzu  
  • Peace Corps 
  • Northern Region as a whole

Opening hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and then 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: Closed
  • Public Holidays: Closed

  • Access to a wide range of print and electronic materials on USA
  • Access to a public Internet facility at MK70.00 per 30 minutes
  • Provision of printing services at K10 per printed page.
