Ambassodor's adaptible eye glasses handover to Kamuzu Central Hospital

U.S. Ambassador Jeanine Jackson presided over the donation of 1,000 pairs of fully adjustable, self-prescribing adaptive eye wear to Kamuzu Central Hospital on January 18, 2012.  The donation is courtesy of the U.S. Department of Defense Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP), which is aimed at assisting civilians of nations that are allies to the U.S.

This contribution will greatly improve the quality of life for Malawians who go without corrected vision.   Previous HAP projects at Kamuzu Central Hospital include the construction of a 14-bed High Dependency Unit, extending the Trauma Unit, and providing various medical supplies and equipment.
